17 Goals for 2017




I am a lover of new years day. The unbelievably overwhelming feeling of motivation to do everything that you set out to do is something that I wish I could bottle up and save for later in the year. I always make a list of things that I would like to achieve and leave them somewhere that I can see them everyday but I thought that this year I would share my goals with you guys so that the thought that you all will know if I have done them or not will inspire me to work harder to achieve them.

1. Go on an plane.

The last time I was on a plane I was 6 years old and I think that the longer I leave it, the more a fear will develop so I would really like to be able to say I have been on a plane this year. I don’t really mind where I go, just on a plane.

2. Lose a couple of inches off my thigh and hip measurements.

I am aware this sounds pretty weird but I am actually OK with how much I weigh, I just want to look… shall we say more athletic and less like I love cake.

3. I would love to go on that really love zip wire in Wales.

I have always wanted to do something cool like that and I would like to think that 2017 is the year.

4. Get a full time job or something that gives me something to plan my life around.

I never realised that I am someone that needs a routine but I think I need one now- it’s the main thing I miss about school.

5. Finally say that my room has been fully decorated.

I have lived in a bedroom with no wallpaper or paint of anything on the walls for over a year. I can’t wait to go to somewhere like Homesence and buy loads of useless rubbish for my room.

6. Go to London again.

I love London and I would LOVE to go back and maybe stay there for a night and see what I didn’t see last time.

7. Learn how to apply makeup properly.

Let’s be honest, I wing it every single day. God knows if my eyebrows match.

8. Don’t get out of breath when I run up stairs.

I really need to get fit. I say it every year but I am so unfit that I look at people 3 times my age who are so much fitter than me and I just… I don’t even know… I just bow.

9. Finally go to a spa, like for a full day so I can walk around in a robe and stuff

I have always wanted to spend a day in a spa and get fussed on and things. Maybe even have afternoon tea!

10. Do something that I consider “really not me”.

I feel like I do live quite a calm and comfortable life but I would love to build up the courage to do something that pushes me out of my comfort zone.

11. Go to Ireland.

I would love to visit Ireland as it’s right on my doorstep but I have never been. I would love to go to Clare in Ireland for obvious reasons.

12. Be happy with my wardrobe.

I would love to have a wardrobe where I love every single item of clothing.

13. Stop being so lazy and be more self motivated

At night I am always so motivated but so tired therefore I write a list of things I could do the next day. Then, I wake up and sit on my bum for 7 hours then look at the list, sigh, and sit on my bum for another 2743 hours. I gotta stop doing that.

14. To leave my savings account untouched

I only opened a savings account this year and I actually got a decent amount of money in it but right now the balance is £10. I just saw loads of nice things this Christmas that I could buy people and couldn’t resist buying it for them. But that’s bad and I gotta stop.

15. Upload to my blog more than twice a month.

I know that twice a month is nothing compared to other people but giving myself a low target has meant that I have been able to stick to it. I would like to upload more per month next year though as I quite enjoy it and feel as though I would be able to manage it.

16. Put a lot more energy into helpmeorganics

I would love to get helpmeorganics’ website up and running. Also, develop another 3 scents and get them designed and ready to bring out around the end of 2017 or early 2018. I would also love to put a lot more energy into the social medias and even send some fellow bloggers some samples for them to try!

17. Finally, be able to write about more significant and amazing things at the end of 2017 in comparison to this year.

I know that this year, for me, has been a weird one and I know that the 16 things I said I did this year weren’t unbelievably exciting and I would love to be able to boast about my 2017.

I hope that everybody has an amazing 2017 and makes sure that this is your best year ever. Take the fact that it is new years day into your stride and use it to fuel your determination to achieve your new years resolutions. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

    This is a fab post! Ironically me and my friend Claire are going to Ireland in a couple of days time. It’s my first solo trip and my third time on a plane so, I am a bit nervous, but as they say change doesn’t come without challenge.
