Day #1 Welcome to 56 Days of Summer!

I can’t believe the school year is complete and that, in 56 days, I will be packing the car with all my university things and moving out. That is beyond crazy! This year has been amazing though and I am ready to have a nice and calm summer before everything gets crazy in September.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your patience. I haven’t posted in the last couple of weeks to give myself time to build up to the next 56 days of daily blogging. In case you didn’t catch my initial post about 56 Days of Summer, I would like to let you know my plans for my blog for the next few months. I am going to be posting a new blog post every single day for the next 56 days as I finished my job yesterday and I move to university on the 16th of September. I will write about a complete mixture of topics and will also be collaborating with a few companies and bloggers. I have adored blogging these past 10 months so I am fully ready to really focus my efforts on it (as well as helpmeorganics, I can’t forget about our little baby that is also going to be growing up a little this summer.) Talking about helpmeorganics, we are going to be featured in The Really Good Box boxes this month, which is beyond exciting! You may see a review post in the next few weeks as I do love writing about our little milestones that we are reaching.

Also, within the next 56 days I will be reflecting on my gap year experience and giving a lot of advise to anybody who is thinking of also taking a gap year. Mine has been a complete mixture of different things so it may be nice to hear somebody else’s experience if you are currently planning your own. I will be spreading out my gap year posts throughout this summer. In addition to this, I will also be talking about starting university and how I am trying to cope with the pre-university nerves. Hopefully, I will hear from a few of you who are also going to be going to university this September and you can share your tips with me too.

I would like to mention that if you would like to collaborate with me over the next 56 days then I would love to! I still have a few gaps left through the next month and a bit so just email me at or message me on my social medias @clairesyear and I would love to hear your ideas.

Although, you may think 56 blog posts is a lot to write, I am more than ready for it and kind of excited too. I have a lot planned so if you would like to be informed when I post, you can always find me on Twitter and Instagram at @clairesyear, you can subscribe to me as well (you can enter your email address at the bottom of my blog) as well as follow me on bloglovin (there is a little button on the left-hand side you can press if that’s a little easier.) I hope you have a lovely summer and I will see you all tomorrow!

I’ve read some of your university posts on this blog, and I’ve loved every one that I’ve read. I love your mature stance on the gap year, and I’m sure that will go on to benefit you as you start your journey with university. I can’t wait to read more blogs from you between now and September, especially those about your gap year. It’s something I’m planning to do myself, so the more advice/experiences I can reflect upon to convince myself I’m not TOTALLY ruining my life, the better, haha! Good luck with university; I hope it goes well for you.

Thank you so much hun! You will definitely not totally ruin your life taking a gap year – I didn’t feel ready for university so I took one and now I feel so ready that I have decided to move out even though I didn’t have to. I think you will love it!

This sounds amazing, I graduated from university this week and I’m doing my masters in September so I only have 49 days left of summer before I leave! I hope you really enjoy your 56 days and achieve everything you want to this summer x
