Hello everyone and welcome to day 2! Today, I would like to talk about 5 blogs that I have adored reading while I have been blogging. After starting Claire’s Year about 10 months ago, I have started to read a lot more blogs and really appreciate the amount of work that goes into writing a bog post. This has allowed me to discover some hidden gems in the industry and I would like to share my 5 favourites with you.
Firstly, I would like to start with Lottie’s blog (www.lottiegibbons.com). Lottie is a 17-year-old blogger from Manchester and she has recently hit her 1 year blog anniversary. She was the first ever person to comment on my blog posts so I am very grateful to her for giving me the little bit of confidence I needed to really get into blogging. Since then, I have always kept an eye on her blog and what she seems to be getting up to (while secretly getting jealous of all the amazing places she seems to visit all the time). Her Instagram is gorgeous as well! Lottie, formerly FlareAForte, writes about a little bit of everything: fashion, lifestyle, travel and beauty. She has a lovely way of writing that seems very effortless and her photography is amazing as well! Certainly a blog to check out.
Secondly, we have Corinne and Kirsty’s blog (corinneandkirsty.com). These two just know how to wow with a blog. Click on the link and you will know what I mean. Corinne and Kirsty are 25 and 24 years old and have been blogging since February 2016. They write about a mixture of everything and it’s so nice to see bloggers write about whatever they want. Whenever I participate in a promo hour on Twitter, they always comment on my blog posts and it’s always a lovely one. They are both wonderful writers as well and are a perfect blog to read while getting ready for bed.
Next we have Holly’s blog: A Daily Dose of Holly (adailydoseofholly.wordpress.com). Holly is one of the loveliest bloggers I have come across in the blogging world as she is the creator of the blogging group chat that I am in on Twitter. I am quite fussy with bloggers group chats as they can get a little crowded but I do love ours with the 9 of us. Holly is 21 and she has been blogging since September 2016 like me. She has a very natural way of writing. When I read her blog posts, I can imagine someone talking how she writes (if you get what I mean), which I think works really well as it shows us her personality. She writes about a mixture of lifestyle, food, travel and style.
My next blogger is Becca Jayne (itsbeccajayne.com). Becca is 18 years old and started blogging in July 2016. I have never seen a more dedicated blogger than this lady. I will be scrolling through my Twitter and she will always be on my feed. Whether that’s a new blog post, new YouTube video or just something that has happened in her day. I love reading Becca Jayne’s blog because she also struggles with anxiety, which I love reading about as it’s nice to know I am not the only one, but she obviously doesn’t let it take over her life. She talks about anything and everything. She mentions in her “About Me” section that she treats her blog like a diary and I think that has worked so well for her.
Finally, we have the queen of blogging herself: Victoria from Inthefrow.com . I know, you probably thought you would come here to discover band new bloggers that you have never heard of before and you can find a little gem but I couldn’t leave out Victoria. When I first started reading blogs at the tender age of 14, Victoria was one of the bloggers that I really looked up to. Now, she has gone from strength to strength and has blossomed into one of the most famous bloggers in the world and I think that is amazing! I watch her videos or read her blog posts most mornings while I do my make up and she just calms me. I understand that her life is probably not as perfect as it seems but she is so thankful for the opportunities that she gets that she radiates positivity through the screen and I can’t help but feel so happy for her.
Although I have narrowed it down to 5, there are SO many bloggers that I could have mentioned! There is nothing nicer than getting yourself a cup of tea and a slice of cake, sitting down at the computer and seeing what everyone is up to and what they are writing about. I have never been much of a reader but this last year has changed me to a lover of reading. I am so glad that I have the opportunity to write about my favourite bloggers and I hope everyone shares the love and has a think about 5 of their favourite bloggers too.
See you tomorrow everybody!
