Day #22 July Love List

Hello everyone and welcome to day #22. Today, I would like to share with you what I loved last month. I think this is a nice alternative way to do a monthly favourites so I thought I’d have a go. Here we are, my July love list:

What I watched? I may be a little behind but I am currently watching PLL. I am now on season 7, and it’s getting SO good and I can’t wait until I find out who A.D. is, but through out July, I was pretty much only watching PLL hahaa. Oh, and Love Island. How could I forget my favourite? I had never watched Love Island before this year and I am so glad I watched it. I don’t know what my life would be like without Chris popping up on my instagram now and again.

What I Snapped? In July, I was very busy with product pictures. The weather was incredible and my Dad finished fitting our new decking therefore I was constantly in our garden with my phone in one hand and a product in another. I just adore the colours in our garden and how they compliment the colours on our labels. Our instagram for helpmeorganics has never looked so good!

Who I Loved? I recently bought a school year diary for university and I noticed that it actually started in July 2017 so I am currently using it to help get myself organised for 56 Days of Summer. It has helped immensely. I don’t forget about comment/promo hours or anything like that anymore either because it is written in here. It has been an absolute life saver and I recommend for anyone to get yourself a little diary like this that can easily fit in your bag or slide into a drawer on your desk. I got mine from Tesco and I think it was around 5 or 6 pounds.

What I Wore? In July, I was at work for 4 days every week so when I wasn’t in blazers and black trousers, I lived in sweat pants and a baggy top (ohh, what a lovely sight I was.) But, I have been getting more into jewellery recently so I would like to mention some earrings that I have been loving throughout July. When I saw these on ASOS, I instantly fell in love! They are silver daisy “swing” earrings. I have to admit that I have changed the stud earring to a smaller one but the daisies are just adorable. I wore these for work as they aren’t huge and don’t look too fancy. I am really into more quirky jewellery at the moment and these were the trigger of that.

What I Did? As I mentioned previously, I have mainly worked throughout July but another thing is that I obviously started the 56 Days of Summer! To be completely honest, I am thrilled that I have made it this far without missing a day or leaving it till 11:58pm to post my blog post for that day. I am also really happy that I am still uploading content that I genuinely want to write. So far, I haven’t run out of ideas and I am very proud of myself for that!

What I Ate? Does everything count? Hahaha, I am really loving food in general at the moment but my favourite food is definitely my Dad’s apple cake. We have an apple tree in our back garden which has perfectly ripe apples on it at the moment and my dad goes down, picks a few and cooks an apple cake with them pretty much weekly… I am going to be so fat when I go to university after consuming this much cake haha. The cake is just delicious and it’s one of my five a day, right? That’s what I keep telling myself anyway.

What I Drank? I am the fussiest drinker ever and, boringly, the only thing I have drank is water. But, as long as it doesn’t count as cheating, in June I went to Huddersfield to visit my best friend at university and we grabbed an ice tea each from the Northern Tea House. I had never had iced tea before but wow, it tastes incredible. Sadly, I didn’t go anywhere that posh throughout July but I certainly would have grabbed one if I had the chance.

Where I Went? I think I have mentioned this in a few previous blog posts but in July I visited Aberffraw in Angelsey. It was stunning there and all we did was park the car up when we arrived and not touch it until we went home. Staying so close to the beach is always so tempting to just stay there the whole time. It was stunning a lovely pre-summer holiday break.

What I Heard? For the first time in a while, I don’t have a current favourite song. So, as you have probably seen in my 00s Songs I Adore post, I have just been listening to some old classics from when I was younger. I am just not a fan of the top 10 right now. I listened to the Radio 1 top 40 yesterday and the top 3 were the worst top 3 I have heard in a while. I apologise to anybody in love with the new Rihanna, Katy Perry and French Montana songs but they just aren’t my style. I either like something I can sing my heart out to or something that I can emotionally latch on to (or both if you really want to get me to love it). So, I went to my trusty “throwback” playlists and just listened to them. My current favourite from there is probably “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield.

What I Used? In July, i ran out of moisturiser so I went to Boots and decided to try the No7 Early Defense day and night creams. I was attracted to these as I liked the idea that they were designed for younger people who wanted to start looking after their skin as early as they could. My Mum is really into skincare and has the clearest skin I have ever seen so I have always been aware of how important it is to look after and respect your skin. After using these creams for the past 2 weeks, my skin has felt much more moisturised! It was as if my skin glugged it in. I didn’t even realise how dry my skin was until I used these creams. They were on the pricier side at £19.50 each but Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on so I also repurchased my No7 eye cream as well. I highly recommend these creams if your skin feels like it needs a bit of TLC.

And there’s my current loves. I just think this is a nice alternative to a favourites post. I have used the questions that Victoria from Inthefrow used to use on her YouTube channel about a year ago. I like that it lets you see a larger range of loves than just beauty. I will be back with another blog post tomorrow so I will see you then for day #23. Good bye everybody x
