Hello everybody and welcome to probably my favourite type of blog post to write: a subscription box review. This month, the lovely team at Ms Flow sent me one of their trial boxes as our “help me, apparently I need to chill out” room sprays are in them! So, a little bit about the Ms Flow subscription boxes? They are a monthly luxury subscription that helps us girls at that certain time of month. The boxes are filled with either pads or tampons (depending on whichever you prefer) and loads of lovely goodies to help you feel a little better. If you would like to check out their website, I will link it HERE so you can go over and have a look and maybe even subscribe? Anyway, let’s get into the review:
The first thing I noticed in this box was the two bags of pads and tampons. I won’t talk about these too much as,
if you are a girl, you probably know what to expect but both packs were full with popular brands and a range of different types. It is nice just to know that they are included and that there is bound to be some that suit your preference.
One thing that obviously caught my eye was this dark chocolate brownie from a brand called Cocoa Loco. I am not going to lie, the brownie was demolished by the time the taking of the pictures was over. The size of the brownie was nice a thick but not too big. It wasn’t overly sweet and chocolate-y but it was still very indulgent and lovely! What I do love about this brand is that they are approved by the Soil
Association and are also fair trade, which really makes you feel good about supporting their brand and also eating their goodies. Plus, they are based in West Sussex – I love a British brand!
The second thing that I put my hands on was this tropical soap from The Soap Company that looks like a watermelon. I am actually yet to try this as I am going to take it to university with me but I really hope it smells lovely a fruity. They certainly get full marks for appearance – their logo is so cute! On their website, they seem to do everything from soap to bath bombs so they seem like quite a cute company. Plus, all products are made and packaged in the UK. Brill.
Next, we have a tea from the Revitalise range from Pukka which blends cinnamon, cardamom and ginger. I am sure most people would probably adore this but, as you may know if you have read a few of my other blog posts,
cinnamon is just not for me. I may have to give this one to my Mum but I am pretty sure she will be more than happy with that. I do love a Pukka tea though as they are always really good quality!
Now, we have our room spray. I feel like I talk so much about helpmeorganics but I just love the fact that something I helped create is actually included in things like this! So, this box included our “help me, apparently I need to chill out” room sprays which is PERFECT for if you are feeling a little unbalanced or irritated. The essential oils we blended in these room sprays are perfect hormone balancers: geranium, lavender, palmarosa and ylang ylang. I think ylang ylang is probably my favourite smell ever (hold on, coming in second to freshly washed clothes.) All products are vegan, organic and cruelty free so you can be completely happy when using them.
It is just stunning as a room spray, candle, massage oil or anything else. Even though I am unbelievably biased, I really recommend you have a look at our products over on our website, which I will link HERE.
Then, we have this lip scrub from Saturated Colour. I have actually tried this and, even though it wasn’t as scrubby as I thought, it was unbelievably moisturising. I found the scent quite nice and neutral as well – I just don’t think a lip balm or lip stick should really be that scented as it isn’t as pleasant. I really liked how chunky the stick was as well because you get so much more product. Plus, all products are completely cruelty free – which is incredible and every brand should be the same.
Now, we have this “pure fruit a veg super sour bear” Yo Yo from Bear Nibbles. I have never tried one of these bars but I have seen them everywhere. I guess I was just a little too old to ever have them in my packed lunch when I was younger. I am actually still yet to try this but I love how colourful it is and the fact that it’s one of your five a day! It is perfect for little ones when they point blank refuse to eat anything healthy or for me if I point blank refuse to eat anything healthy hahaha. It looks yummy so I am sure I will have it soon!
Finally, we have the Ms Flow strawberries and cream candle. What a lovely idea to include a candle in each box made by the company! It’s such a lovely size as well as you will be able to burn that candle in a month ready for the next one in your next subscription box. I just think it’s a really lovely final touch to the whole box.
And that is the entire contents in the box! I was so happy when I received my box, it was like Christmas. I will always be one of them people that encourages others to subscribe to a subscription box of their choice because it’s like Christmas every month when you have no idea what you are going to receive. If you would like to find Ms Flow on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram then I have linked them all in this post. If you would like to go over to their website and get yourself a trial box or subscribe, then you can. Each box requires you to answer a few quick questions about your personal preferences so that your box can really fit you. One box is £12.99 to £14.99 or 3 boxes are £35.07 to £40.47. Or, you can get a trial box for £10 HERE. AND get 15% off if you are a new subscriber with the code WELCOME15. I hope you have enjoyed today’s post and I will see you tomorrow for day #53!
