My 2018 New Years Resolutions

Happy new year everyone! Even though I have already set my 2018 goals in my head, I found recording them on here last year so handy for when I feel I needed to revisit them. So, here are my 2018 new years resolutions:

Get on a plane, again

I hope to go abroad again this year. Nothing is planned as of yet but I hope to book something soon to look forward to.

Go on the long zip wire in Wales

This was on my list last year but sadly, I just ran out of time! I hope to do it soon though.

Get a summer job/ internship

Although I will be very excited to have a break from university, my summer will just be too long for me to just sit on my bum and do nothing. This year, I plan on writing to a few places and getting myself a job or placement to support my degree.

Finish first year with a 1:1

I hope this happens but my feedback so far has been a little mediocre and I know I have to pull my socks up to secure a first! Lets do this!

Start to get a gym routine

Ha ok so at university we are entitled to free off-peak gym memberships and I actually went and got myself one. I have been to one class (I am not the jump on a treadmill kind of girl) but I haven’t been since. I hope to get in a proper routine next semester. I do already go to yoga twice a week with a society at university so I do feel like I am excising a little bit.

Be happy with my wardrobe

This was also on my list last year but it is something that I really enjoy working towards. My style has changed so much since college so I have been rebuilding my wardrobe. I still need to buy a few things to bulk it up.

Increase self motivation and be that person that writes a to do list and actually finishes everything on the list

I am horrendous at motivating myself. I feel like I am a very driven worker for someone else but for myself, I am so bad at making myself do things for myself (e.g. going to gym haha) I want to get a lot better at it and I think I will feel so much better when I do.

Have something to say when people say “what do you do in your free time?”

Other than this blog, I actually don’t have a hobby. I would like to change that this year.

Finish my first year out of my overdraft

You may think I am hinting that I have none of it left and i am in a sticky situation but I’m actually not. It’s just, by the end of the year, I could easily be in my overdraft and I really don’t want that. I want to have a bit of money to fund a more exciting summer.

Get as organised as high school Claire was

High school Claire was on top of everything! I did every homework on the night it was set, had all my books in a folder and set out each night for the next day. My parents even bought my a Filofax for my 14th birthday because I loved being so organised. But, since the middle of college, all organisation has just flew out of the window. I want to get back to old Claire’s organisational style.

Do something that I can say I am unbelievably proud of this time next year

I’d love to have achieved something I am very proud of this year. I don’t know what in particular but something cool.

I hope you have an amazing 2018!

I don’t have anything planned yet either, but I’d really love to go abroad this year as well sometime. Travelling is one of my fav things to do 🙂
